Please see my letter to the Chancellor of the Exchequer calling for more Further Education funding and backing a campaign from 164 MPs led by Gloucester’s Richard Graham MP.
I was moved to raise this issue after my visit to SGS Stroud college. The students’ work there is stunning & increased funding will make a big difference.
I feel strongly that colleges provide vital options for skills & training in our communities. As many of you know, I didn’t go to university. I qualified as a solicitor by studying while working & attending law school at the weekend.
At its core, the request is a matter of social mobility, productivity & fairness. I hope the Chancellor listens or he will have this Further Education kid on his doorstep!
