I had really enjoyable morning at the brilliant Woodchester Valley Village, Inchbrook, Stroud & i’m looking forward to going back soon.
If you can spare two minutes, can you vote for them to win a National Housing for Older People Awards and share this too: awards.eac.org.uk
I’ve borrowed the online information from the Village’s Manager below so you can read more about it.
“The Woodchester Valley Retirement Village is run on behalf of the residents, for the residents. Nestled in a beautiful Cotswold Valley the Village looks like a village, and to live there, it feels like a village. It’s a ‘mutual’ village. This means that our residents not only, of course, own their own homes, but as a community they own the freehold of the whole place. So what happens, or doesn’t happen, is decided by the residents.
The village is situated between the market towns of Stroud and Nailsworth – both only a short drive or bus ride away. The railway station – about 1½ hours from London, is in Stroud.
